Event draw
What this chapter covers
No need to count comment event winners by hand. conma gathers commenters and narrows the field down by conditions (keywords, friend tagging, story mentions, excluding past winners, date range) — you review that list and confirm the winners.
This isn't a fully automatic random draw. Candidates are narrowed by conditions and then reviewed manually to determine winners, so final selection authority always stays with you, the operator.
6.1Before you start
- Instagram integration must be complete.
- The event post you're drawing from must already be live on Instagram.
- Draws are based on commenters. The draw will be more accurate if you describe how to enter in the post caption and ask people to leave a specific keyword in their comment (e.g., "entered").
6.2Step-by-step guide
A draw proceeds in this order.
Add the event post
Click 'Add event post' in the event draw list. Posts conma detects as likely events are marked 'Recommended.' Pick a post to draw from and add it to enter its detail screen.

Set draw conditions
Set your conditions in the 'Draw conditions' panel on the right. At the top is 'Estimated candidates for current conditions,' which updates in real time as you change the conditions.
- Number of winners (required): how many to pick
- Date range: limit to comments within a specific period
- Draw conditions (only enabled ones apply):
- Includes keyword: only comments containing a specified keyword (up to 3)
- Friend tag required: only people who tagged a friend (@username) in their comment (you can also require a minimum number)
- Story mention required: only people who mentioned your account in their own story
- Exclude past winners: exclude previous winners from the same workspace (last 1/3/6 months · all time)

As you change conditions, the estimated candidate count at the top of the right sidebar updates in real time. There's no separate 'draw now' button — instead, you narrow candidates by condition, then pick winners in the next step.
Reviewing candidates and confirming winners
conma doesn't pick winners for you. People often want to redraw after seeing a comment or account they don't like, so conma instead gathers everyone who fits the conditions and lets you review that list and pick the ones you're happy with. Final selection is always up to you.
The candidate list in the center is split into All · Winners · Candidates · Excluded tabs. Review candidates in the Candidates tab.
- Search by username or comment text, and sort by newest, most-liked, and more.
- Click a username to open that person's Instagram profile and verify the actual account.
- Win count is shown, so you can filter out people who win every time (cherry-pickers).
- Add winners one at a time with 'Add as winner,' or select multiple and mark them as winners/excluded in bulk.
Once you've finalized winners, click 'Download' to get the list as a CSV.

Made a mistake? Use 'Undo' right away to cancel it, or move someone back to Candidates individually from the Winners tab. You can revisit and adjust conditions and the list anytime.
6.3Collecting info from winners (conma form)
Once winners are confirmed, collect information like shipping address and contact details directly through a conma form. No need to build a separate Google Form or Naver Form — conma manages everything from privacy consent to automatic deletion for you.
In the 'Notify winners' step, turn on 'Include a conma form' and click 'Create form' to open the settings window. As you configure things on the left, the preview on the right updates in real time to show what winners will see.

Form setup proceeds in this order.
Fields to collect
Name and contact info are included by default; shipping address, resident registration number, and email can be added with a button. Use 'Add custom field' to create your own field (e.g., size), and set whether each field is required plus its helper text.

Consent · retention
For privacy collection/use consent, use conma's template or write your own. What you write here is the detailed policy content shown when a winner clicks > next to the consent item. Set the scheduled deletion date (required) and the data is automatically deleted the day after.

You can also enable two optional consents. Turn on 'Third-party sharing consent' if the collected info needs to go to a company other than yours (e.g., a sponsor shipping a prize directly), or 'Marketing use consent' if your company plans to use it later for promotions like events or discounts. The preview on the right shows exactly what winners will see.

Submission screen settings
Set the final message winners see after submitting. The preview on the right shows the actual completion screen winners will see after they submit.

6.4What winners see
Winners access the form via the link they received by DM. It opens instantly with no login required, built exactly as you configured it.
- Only the fields you enabled are shown, and required fields are marked separately. Resident registration numbers are masked as they're entered.
- They review the privacy consent and submit.
- The screen changes depending on status: available to fill out / submitted / submission period expired.

6.5Checking responses (for operators)
Check the information winners submitted in 'Responses.' Get there from the draw's detail screen or the 'Responses' link on the list card.
- View submission status (submitted / total) and response content in a table. Status badges distinguish submitted, not submitted, and expired.
- Excel download: only the workspace owner can download it. Full resident registration numbers are shown only in this Excel file.
- Data deletion: delete manually, or it's automatically deleted the day after the scheduled deletion date. Once deleted, it can't be recovered, and a deletion record remains.

conma keeps personal information secure. You set the fields collected, consent, and deletion date in the form — and once deleted, it can't be undone.
